If I had a super power
I’d be able to shoot pens through my eyes
And with my disguise I’d be unknown
My face unshown to the world
A lyrical genius I’d choose to be
Fighting my battles and inspiring
People in herds like cattle
With my comical yet spiritual and magical words
Blue spandex drawers and a silver mask
In my excellence this world would bask.
If I had a super power
Pages would never be blank
They’d be flourishing with words
Of happiness and emotions
I’d wear a big bright cape
And I’d probably have a scar on my face
To represent all the struggles I’ve faced
To bring me to this place.
If I had super powers
I probably wouldn’t literally
Shoot pens out my eyes or
Be able to fly but
I’d inspire millions
Maybe even billions
To try to prosper.
Actually…I don’t need super powers for that
I can just be
Me
