The UnDeserving
-
Written by RauCous
It’s unnatural… his compulsion,
To reach,
To feel.
What doesnt belong
It cannot belong
It’s wrong
This wanting
To have
What isn’t his
What shouldn’t be.
What never was.
She’s the unattainable
Barely close enough to take a wiff
But receding like a wave
Beyond his dimming gaze
Far behind the haze
Past where he shouldn’t look.
Or even dare to think about.
Or even try to dream in sleep
or awake.
Caught between resistance
and yearning.
Not enough to cause him change
Still too much it causes pain.
Its all in vain this feeling
This gift of emotion
Is wasted on him.
The undeserving.
Its unnatural
to not want love.
He prefers the void
And shuns the shining
Choosing the silent suffering
mistaken for peace
not knowing solitude is overrated.
Not knowing that he cant win
If he wont let her in.
And strangely he wonders why there’s nothing there
When he peeks inside.
Only one thing can be gained by his strained meditation.
It’s so obvious
Only one conclusion,
concerning her, he is.
Undeserving.
